However, there are some recommendations. If you fall into this category, make sure you ask your dentist about getting some fluoride treatments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patients at high risk for tooth decay<\/li>\n<li>Someone who is going through radiation treatments<\/li>\n<li>People with poorly formed enamel<\/li>\n<li>Patients with overly-sensitive teeth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Though you can get fluoride over-the-counter, they only contain about\u00a01000 to 1100 parts per million of fluoride. Prescription fluoride contains 5000 parts per million.
